What do you get when you mix vanilla pudding, peanut butter and Cheerios? We don't want to spoil the surprise...come find out for yourself.
Ingredients
- 1 (4 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding and pie filling mix (not instant)
- 1/2 C light corn syrup
- 1/3 C peanut butter, crunchy
- 4 C Cheerio cereal
Instructions
- Place the dry pudding mix into a large heavy saucepan.
- Stir in the corn syrup.
- Place the pan over medium and stirring continuously bring the mixture to a steady boil.
- Still stirring let the mixture boil for 1 minute.
- Remove the pan from the heat.
- Fold in the peanut butter with a rubber spatula.
- Pour in the cereal and mix to completely cover.
- Butter a square baking pan on the bottom and up the sides.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the pan.
- Cool to room temperature before cutting into bite size squares.
Notes
Want a little change in your Circle of Light Squares? Use your favorite pudding mix and add 2 C of Fruit Loops along with the 2 C of Cheerios. You can also use smooth peanut butter if you prefer.
