One of the best parts of the Christmas holiday is walking into a house that smells like someone has been baking all day. The sweet aroma of spice, apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cookie dough wafts around the house like a new type of air freshener.

Christmas desserts are a favorite part of any family Christmas gathering. What makes it even more special is that many Christmas dessert recipes are passed down from generation to generation. 4 1/2 cup flour
6 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 eggs
1 cup oil
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

bake at 400 for 8 to 10 minutes

Here’s the fastest way to make Christmas cookies and they taste great. Although it seems that when I make them, some how, they multiply and I get more than I set out to make. It’s a mystery.
Try them with all kinds of different kisses. Beware, different kinds of kisses melt at different times.

Christmas Dessert Recipes: Anise Christmas Cookies

What You Need:

4 eggs
4 cups confectioners’ sugar
2 teaspoons lemon zest
4 1/2 cups cake flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
4 drops anise oil

How To Make It:

Beat together sugar and eggs until very fluffy.
Add anise oil and lemon zest.
Gradually mix in the baking powder and flour blending well as you go.
Chill this dough for at least 4 hours or overnight, if you wish.
Flour a dough rolling area and roll out the chilled dough to roughly 1/8th to 1/4th inch thick.
Use a springerle rolling pin or a pressboard to make the designs these cookies are so well known for.
Cut into desired shapes.
Let these sit out overnight, uncovered.
The next day bake them for 15 minutes at 350 degrees F.
Cool on a wire rack then store in an airtight container.

Christmas Dessert Recipes | Winter Wonderland Snow Balls

Christmas Dessert Recipes: Winter Wonderland Snow Balls

What You Need:

2 2/3 C sugar
2/3 C light corn syrup
1/2 C water
2 egg whites
1 t vanilla extract
2/3 C nuts, chopped

How to Make It:

Place the sugar into a medium heavy saucepan.
Add the corn syrup and water.
Place the pan over low heat and stirring continuously cook the mixture until all the sugar has dissolved.
Once the sugar has dissolved allow the mixture to cook until the candy thermometer reaches 260 degree, being sure not to stir.
Remove the pan from the heat.
Place the egg whites into a large mixing bowl.
Beat with an electric mixture until soft peaks begin to from when the beaters are lifted up.
Continue beating the mixture as you pour the hot syrup in a steady stream into the egg whites.
When all the syrup mixture has been added pour in the vanilla extract and continue beating until the mixture holds uniform shape.
Fold in the nuts with a rubber spatula.
Place wax paper on a large cookie sheet being sure to cover it completely.
Butter the end of a wooden spoon.
Drop the mixture with the wooden spoon onto the prepared baking sheet.
Allow the candy to cool before placing in a sealed container.

This Christmas Candy Recipe Has A Serving Size Of 4 dozen

This mixture can become very stiff once you add the hot syrup to the egg whites. If this occurs use a large spoon or your hands to continue mixing in the ingredients. By buttering a wooden spoon you should have no trouble removing the candy mixture onto the wax paper to cool.
