<p>1 cup flour<br />
2/3 cup white sugar<br />

<p><strong>How To Make It: </strong></p>
<p>Mix up the main dry ingredients first (flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, cloves) then add milk and continue to mix until smoothed.<br />
Stir in the pears and pecans.<br />
Pour batter into a 2 quart casserole dish.<br />
In a small mixing bowl mix the brown sugar, butter and hot water.<br />
Pour this mixture over the batter in the casserole dish.<br />
Bake for 45 minutes at 375 degrees F.<br />
